Introducing a guide for data management best practices
The library has created a data management guide to assist researchers. This guide includes links to general information about data management, lists of data repositories, information about metadata and data documentation, tools to assist in writing data management plans, and funding agency policies around data management and data sharing. Also included is a link to the presentation for the data management class recently offered by the library.
NYUHSL welcomes Alisa Surkis
Alisa Surkis has joined the faculty of NYUHSL as Translational Science Librarian. Alisa will be working with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, as well as the Center for Health Informatics and Bioinformatics, to utilize existing library resources and to develop new resources to address the particular needs of the CTSI. Alisa is a recent graduate of the Queens College MLS program and has a PhD in Neural Science from NYU. Prior to joining NYUHSL, she spent over a decade writing software to support the work of vision researchers.
