Document Delivery Service obtains through interlibrary loan (ILL) materials not available in the NYU Health Sciences Libraries collection. We also provide copies of documents our library owns to qualified users.

We do not serve the NYU Washington Square campus. Bobst Library offers interlibrary loan services to users from Washington Square.

NYULMC and College of Dentistry library users

Affiliated users may request items not owned by the medical library using our interlibrary loan form. Please check our catalog before requesting interlibrary loans.

Including the article’s unique identifier (PMID or UI) from citations in MEDLINE will speed delivery time.

Most requests made are delivered within two business days, and all requests are delivered within seven to ten days. You must save or print articles delivered by email within two weeks of receipt.

Rush interlibrary loan (delivery within 24hours) is available for $5 per article.

Loansome Doc subscribers (unaffiliated users)

Loansome Doc is a document-ordering system that is used in conjunction with NLM's Gateway or PubMed.

Charge: $20.00 per article
Turnaround time: up to two weeks 
 
Prior to providing any services, the library will need a $200 deposit to be put towards article fees (payable by check or money order only). Prices are subject to change.

To register for a Loansome Doc account, print out and complete the registration form, and mail with $200 deposit to the Ehrman Medical Library.

Corporate firms (pharmaceuticals, law, biotechnology, etc.)

We accept requests by fax (212-263-8196) only for materials available in our library.
