Downloading full-text articles from databases

Searching literature databases, such as PubMed, is the best way to find articles on a particular topic. Once you have identified relevant articles, you can easily download the full-text directly from the database.

All NYU Health Sciences Libraries’ databases will have a "Full-Text NYU Health Sci Lib" link located next to or below each article reference. (Please note that you must access PubMed via the NYU Health Sciences Libraries’ website using PubMed via NYU for “full-text” links to appear.)

Clicking on the "Full-Text NYU Health Sci Lib" link will open another browser window. If we have the electronic full-text available, you will see the citation listed under the "Full Text" heading. Click on the "Go" button next to the citation to access the full-text through the journal’s website.

If the library does not have the electronic full-text available, you may complete a document delivery (ILL) request form by clicking on "Full-text not available. Request this item" or the "Go" button. Fill out the citation information if it is not automatically entered in the form and you will receive a PDF via email. Most requests are delivered within 2-3 business days.
