NEJM's Journal Watch becomes NEJM Clinician

The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) Group is rebranding NEJM Journal Watch. Starting December 6th, NEJM Journal Watch will be rebranded as NEJM Clinician, continuing to deliver expert summaries and commentary on impactful clinical research.

This resource aims to serve as a fast weekly read that helps busy clinicians stay current with the world’s medical literature in 30 minutes or less each week. NEJM Clinician includes content from NEJM itself, plus important updates from across all of medicine.

 

How can you access NEJM Clinician?

Starting December 6th, you can visit clinician.nejm.org and sign up for a weekly email alert with key takeaways and direct links to the latest edition.

To sign up for a weekly email alert, you will need to create or use your existing NEJM Group account (the account used for the standard NEJM journals) to log into clinician.nejm.org. You will no longer use your NEJM Journal Watch email address and password.

 

What kinds of article types does NEJM Clinician publish? 

NEJM Clinician features a variety of time-saving article types, including: 

  • Journal Watch: short articles with summaries of expert commentary*
  • Guideline Watch: short analyses of new or updated clinical guidelines
  • Drug Watch: updates on newly approved medications
  • NEJM reviews, clinical cases, and diagnostic images
  • Clinical Conversations: audio/video interviews with expert physicians

*The NEJM Group renamed their research summarization articles as "Journal Watch" -- so this term now references the article type rather than the former product brand.

 

How is each weekly edition structured? 

Each edition is organized into easy-to-browse categories "Stay Informed" and "Build Your Knowledge," while archived and specialty content can be explored via the "Browse All" feature. 

 

What about archived content?

Full access to all archives will continue, with Journal Watch, Year in Review, and Letter to Readers available back to 1987, and Guideline Watch and Drug Watch available back to 1998.
