About us

The Data Services team furthers the mission of NYU Langone Health to care, teach and discover by:

  • Facilitating data discovery through helping researchers find repositories and effectively describe their data
  • Training researchers in rigorous data collection and analysis tools
  • Providing expertise in safe and effective practices around data sharing and security
  • Supporting ethical adoption of emerging information technologies

The NYU Health Sciences Library supports the NYU Data Catalog to enhance data discovery and reuse. Contact the team to share your data or find data for secondary analysis

Metadata Management

Metadata is essential for documenting data origin, purpose, creation, and use. The Data Services team offers guidance on creating metadata and choosing the right repository for your data.

Data Management and Sharing Plan Support

The NIH requires a Data Management and Sharing (DMS) plan for all NIH-funded research generating scientific data. The NYU Health Sciences Library supports DMS plans through guides, classes, and consultations.
