Early Access to UpToDate Expert AI Launches October 13

UpToDate has introduced a new generative AI tool called UpToDate Expert AI, now available to all registered UpToDate users at NYU Langone Health as of Monday, October 13.

Be among the first to explore this innovative tool, which delivers expert clinical insights through a conversational interface. Unlike other AI tools that rely on limited published literature or web-based sources, UpToDate Expert AI links every answer directly to trusted, expert-authored content within UpToDate.

Designed to mirror the clinical reasoning process, UpToDate Expert AI explains the “why” behind each response by clearly stating assumptions. Its recommendations are tailored to specific clinical scenarios, supporting nuanced decision-making.

How to Access

To use UpToDate Expert AI, sign in to UpToDate on a desktop browser. Please note: this feature is not currently available in the mobile app. If you haven’t signed in via single sign-on (SSO), this article explains how to use your NYU Langone Health email address for easy access.
