Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID)
ORCID is a digital identifier used to uniquely identify scientific researchers and other academic contributors. Since personal names are not unique, can change, have cultural differences, or contain different writing systems, the ORCID ID can remove naming ambiguity in scholarly publishing.
The Health Sciences Library is available to assist NYU School of Medicine faculty in setting up their ORCID accounts. To update ORCID from the NYU Faculty Bibliography, click here.
